A Limited Education
Limitations We've Set On Ourselves and Pass To Our Children

It starts with denial. Denial is huge among those that say to themselves, "I came from an educated home" or "I had wonderful parents",
even though those things may be true. A common statement is "I'm going to teach mine this or that because that's what I was taught and I turned
out fine." especially in matters of discipline, character building, and religious training.
Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. (KJV)
A good example is those that swear by the King James Version of the Bible. They limit themselves and their children's knowledge and understanding
by refusing to hear any facts
regarding any other version. You'd think if they knew the pilgrims refused the King James Version and that it was NOT the Bible they brought to
American, that it would be enough to at least open their
minds enough to research the matter. (See Footnotes) Many not only have no other translation in their home, they also refuse to read any books that quote
any other translation. Such are not led by the peace of God but by fear and angry religious spirits, as were the Pharisees before the ressurrection of Jesus.
You will discern pride and haughtiness as the fruit. An unteachable attitude has entered their hearts and it effects every area of their life. This is
usually the root of the limitations of education they have set upon themselves and pass to their children.
Proverbs 23:7a
For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he...
According to the above scripture we can easily limit ourselves to our own thinking. There is a way which seems right into a man but the end thereof
are the ways of death. Prov. 14:12. We are not to lean to our own understanding, but acknowledge God in all our ways and He will direct our paths.
Our salvation must be worked out, with fear and trembling, meaning we must DO something. We must renew and transform our minds, else how can we rightly
divide any truth in the word of God. When the Bible says "my people perish for lack of knowledge", it is not referring to those lost without a Saviour,
but God's people.
Does not renew and transform our minds speak directly to education?
100 years ago the children were so well educated, with only 6-8 years of schooling. Their focus was Biblical studies. They copied and
memorized the word. Their main poetry books were the Psalms and Proverbs. Our country's moral and values were shaped by it. How much time in the word do we train
our children? 1, 3, or 10 percent? If our children were given equal time to Bible study and prayer as math, no doubt the math skills would greatly improve. If the
church would devote more time to home Bible study than TV and other forms of entertainment or work, then no doubt our country would not be in the shape it is
in.

The Message:
The Bible in Contemporary Language
LOVE this version. Best price is at this link (click above title) to Amazon, else we would carry it! Click several pages on the "peek inside" to read the beginning of Genesis. Great to
read aloud to your children. This particular version is hardback and does include the verse numbers.
The author translated the word from
the original languages to the English language, instead of translating the KJV to modern English as many other translations do. Expect to hear His voice. Don't toss out your KJV. The shortness of it
makes it easier to memorize. Use both during study for deeper understanding.
Who Switched Off My Brain?

merely be only negative or contrary to the word of God to have a profound effect on our lives. This book will help you understand how our brain
works
and how to be sensitive to
the power of the Holy Spirit. It is an $18 hardback but half the price on the title link
above. You may want to buy two copies so you can have one to loan to others. When you start talking about it, friends are going to want to borrow it!

the 70+ reviews. What you see from the online link
above is what you will get in this book.
I enjoyed the review of the one saying how pleased he was that this Bible was not a government issued Bible. Never thought before of the KJV as
being government issued, but clearly it was.
How many times, how many years have we or our children studied the pilgrims, and the history of our country. Yet the fact of which Bible they
used and brought with them was hidden from us. Could be the
curriculum we used. Could be the Lord is wanting to break out of the box that denominations have tried to keep him in. Those of us that believe in the
finished work of Jesus--His life, death and ressurrection and have accepted him personally in our hearts are members of the body of Christ. Our born again
spirits bear witness that we are his.
The word of God written in its original language contained no commas, chapters or verses. They were instead written in a letter type format. I personally
prefer The Message Bible edition that includes the verse numbers and chapters. It makes for easier location and reference to other versions, like the KJV,
making the word easier to memorize, which is extremely important. This link takes you to the book of Genesis, online free, from the Message Bible---> Genesis Chapter 1
I like this website best. You can click the box one verse per line. I copied and pasted Gen. 1-2:23 for reading aloud. The copy/paste gathers it in
paragraph form but on this link -----> Gen.1-2:23 PDF format You can print it easier if you
would like to read it to your children or use it as copy work.

Although this book is not written purposely to teach servant hood or stewardship, it does exemplify the results and
helps give meaning to our purpose in life as a servant of the King and good stewards of what is His has entrusted to us.
